Falco Myth
 

Many of our customers and dealers have asked for a Falco model that fits the 58"-62" length range (where we never really had anything). In response, we have developed the Falco Myth, which is a recurved longbow targeted to hunters, 3D shooters and the wider longbow audience in non-IFAA formats. Myth comes by default at 61" length, but even that short, it provides an excellent draw curve that is suitable for 30"+ draw length shooters. Because we want to provide this bow at a competitive price range, the very expensive woods cocobolo, bocote and curly birch will be excluded as options at the base price. In fact, our intention is to provide 2-3 standard designs of Myth, but we have not made up our mind yet what would these standard designs be like. Perhaps you have suggestions? For a long time, the Falco collection was lacking two things: a fast shooting recurved longbow, and a longbow to fit the ~60" length range. The Myth is our answer to both of these gaps. Launched in autumn 2017, this is a longbow with which we open our collection of longbows that are shorter, wider and slightly recurved. The Myth is really the perfect mid-range longbow, suitable for casual archery, 3D and hunting. Despite its short length, as seen in the draw curve below, the Myth really is a unique longbow in that it can be used with any draw length (up to 32"). And better even, the Myth packs excellent performance. 

As all Falco longbows, the Myth is hand-made in our workshop in Estonia to every last detail. And details is where the attention has really gone on this model. We pay particular attention to rounding all corners, making aesthetically pleasing tips, finishing each bow with impeccable lacquer quality, all the while keeping the bow profile sleek - as is known for all Falco longbows. The Myth features our signature high wrist pistol grip, which is specifically designed to support the archer in a relaxed bow hand, which is the groundwork for an excellent archery form.
